In 1978 a publishing concern by the name of Kazi Publications was established under the patronage of our elder brother the late Prof. Abdul Hameed Siddiqi, a renowned Muslim Scholar. Unfortunately he died on 14th April, 1978 and the organization suffered an immense loss at the very outset due to his sudden death. This shock was so severe that we remained in a state of dilemma for some time but the fear lest his mission should be stopped, we resolved to continue publication of books on Islam.

    The late author needs no introduction. He was an eminent scholar and authority on Islamic Literature especially on Qur’an and Hadith. He made a remarkable and valuable contribution towards Islamic Literature by rendering into English the Holy Qur’an, Sahih Muslim, Mishkat-ul-Masabih and writing a number of books on different topics of Islam which will continue to enlighten Muslim masses for ever.

    During the last twenty-four years Messrs. Kazi Publications have published about 250 books on various topics of Islam including, English translation of the meaning of the Noble Qur’an in 9 volumes with complete Arabic text based on summarized version of At-Tabari, Al-Qurtabi and Ibn Kathir with comments from Sahih al-Bukhari, English translation of Sahih al-Bukhari in 9 volumes, Sunan Ibn Majah in 5 volumes, Lu’ Lu’ Wal-Marjan in 3 volumes, Mishkat-ul-Masabih in 1 volume, Riyad as-Salihin in 2 volumes, with their complete Arabic texts and Sirat-un-Nabi in 6 volumes, which have been greatly admired by the readers within and outside the country.

    It may be mentioned here that Dr. Muhammad Muhsin, the learned translator of the Noble Qur’an (Tafsir Mu‘ani) approached Messrs. Kazi Publications at Lahore and disclosed that according to Istikhara observed by him in Masjid-i-Nabwi, he had been given intuitional directive by Allah to assign this gigantic task to Messrs. Kazi Publications, Lahore. We took over the task of the publication of the Noble Qur’an just to please our Allah despite our financial stringency. Alhamdu-lilla we succeeded in completing this great assignment in 16 years.

    Besides we have started publishing English translation of remarkable books on Ahadith namely Sunan Nasa’i with complete Arabic text and Sahih al-Bukhari without Arabic text. These will be valuable contribution towards Hadith Literature. Two volumes of Sunana Nasa’i and two volume of Sahih al-Bukhari have so far been published. Others are in the process of printing.

    We hope that worthy readers will cooperate with us to complete this voluminous work on Ahadith.
