^{In 1947   Pakistan  came into  existence on the World  Map.  There was only one source of Match Production in west Pakistan i.e. Orient Match Co ( A Swedish Match Co) & the other source  of  production  was  East  Pakistan ( NowBangla Desh )In 1970 East Pakistan became  Bangla Desh & in Pakistan the availability of  Match  became  adverse. Our  Chairman   Late Mr. Khawaja  Aftab  Ahmed introduced paper  wax  coated  safety  Match  in  Pakistan  a  well  known name "SHAMA"  Brand   in  1970  besides  this  he  Imported  Safety  Matches  from different countries like U.S.S.R. POLAND, HUNGRY, CZECHOSLOVAKIA & KOREA   to   meet   the   demand.  In 1978  Late  Mr.  Khawaja  Aftab  Ahmed introduced  Wooden  Safety  Match, a  well known brand "TANGA" which was popular  country  wide. In 1984  Late  Mr. Khawaja Aftab Ahmed started a new project  of  Wooden  Safety  Match  under  the  Name "FAZAL SONS MATCH INDUSTRIES (PVT) LTD" with Brand "HOCKEY". The name "HOCKEY" is well known in Pakistan for two things firstly it is our National Game & secondly for   the    Match   Brand   Name.    In   the  beginning   the  production  was  0.2 Million Matches   Box a-day.   By  the  end  of   1993, the production raised to 1.6 Million match Box  a-day  (which  comes  to  90  Million  Sticks  per  day). In  the beginning of 1998   the   production   will   reach  to 2.6  million Match Box a days ( which  comes  to  150  Million   sticks  per  day) . This will  stand  the  company   as   the   largest manufacturer  of  Safety  Matches  in  Pakistan.}
